Ugandan R&B singer Geosteady will headline his maiden Valentine’s Day concert this Friday in a show expected to deliver love, emotion and soulful performances to fans.
The singer, born George William Kigozi, will stage “Geosteady Blackman Live in Concert” at the gardens of the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, marking his official return to the music scene after a hiatus.
Known for hit songs such as Sembera, Viola and his duet Same Way with Lydia Jazmine, Geosteady described the concert as a special moment for both him and his supporters.
At a press conference held last week, his former partner Prima Kardashi, born Prima Ndagire, attended to show support and rally fans to turn up in large numbers.
“This concert is a celebration of George’s life and comeback to the industry. We are celebrating the love that has been showed to him by his fans and well-wishers at his lowest and comeback to music,” Prima said.
“Please buy your ticket or book a table to be part of this momentous celebration,” she added.
Geosteady’s return follows his public disclosure in September 2025 about his struggle with drug abuse and his journey to recovery.
At the time, the singer acknowledged that the period had affected both his career and personal life but said he was committed to rebuilding himself and reconnecting with his audience.
The Valentine’s concert is expected to symbolize that new chapter, with organizers promising a live band experience centered on love ballads and R&B classics.
The show has attracted partnership support from V&A Sherry Liqueur. Brand manager Rochart Kaweesa said the collaboration reflects the brand’s values of togetherness and celebration.
“V&A stands for accepting and building one another and that is why partnering with Geosteady was natural for us. I call upon people to come, celebrate love, enjoy good music, and V&A Sherry in its neat or Vangria cocktails,” Kaweesa said.
Organised by Abtex Promotions, the concert will feature performances from several top Ugandan artists including Juliana Kanyomozi, Irene Ntale, Lydia Jazmine and Feffe Bussi.
Tickets are already on sale, with general admission priced at Shs100,000, while a table for eight costs Shs3 million. Organisers say bookings can be made via the provided contact line.
With Valentine’s Day often associated with romantic gestures and memorable experiences, the Sheraton Gardens concert is expected to draw couples and music lovers seeking an evening of live R&B under the Kampala night sky.
